We're seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused
** Laboratory Technician I
** to support daily operations in a GLP-compliant lab. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for recent life sciences graduates or individuals with foundational lab experience to gain hands-on exposure to environmental fate, metabolism, and analytical studies.

* The Role:
What You'll Do*
* As a Laboratory Technician I, you'll support scientific staff by performing routine lab tasks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

** Lab Operations:
** Perform daily laboratory duties including weighing, sample extraction, separation, and concentration under the direction of scientific staff.
+
** Safety & Compliance:
** Adhere to all laboratory safety practices, GLP regulations, and government guidelines.
+
** Documentation:
** Accurately document all work performed and maintain compliance with SOPs.
+
** Communication:
** Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff and scientists; provide clear verbal and written updates.
+
** Lab Maintenance:
** Prepare routine solutions, wash glassware, organize supplies, and maintain overall lab cleanliness and functionality.
+
** Equipment Support:
** Perform routine calibration and maintenance of lab equipment as needed.
+
** Training:
** Receive required training in GLPs, Radioactive Safety, USDA Regulated Soil, and SOPs to support basic laboratory work.
** Physical & Environmental Requirements*
* This is an active, on-site lab role with routine physical demands.

** Mobility:
** Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the lab frequently.
+
** Lifting:
** Occasional lifting of lab materials and equipment (up to 25 lbs).
+
** Environment:
** Work with hazardous chemicals and biological materials in a regulated laboratory setting.
** Qualifications*
* We're looking for candidates who meet one of the following:

* Education:
** High School diploma or equivalent with a strong interest in life sciences.
+
** Preferred:
** Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, etc.) with 0-2 years of experience.

* Experience:
** Prior lab or analytical setting experience is a plus but not required.
** Core Skills*
* + Ability to follow SOPs, policies, and GLP regulations with precision.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Attention to experimental detail and ability to execute scientific procedures.
+ Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).
+ Willingness to learn and become self-sufficient in daily lab responsibilities.
+ Ability to perform routine equipment calibration and maintenance.
