Location: Wall Township

Responsibilities
  • Lead site characterization and environmental investigation programs involving soil, groundwater, sediment, soil vapor, and vapor intrusion assessments.
  • Develop and refine Conceptual Site Models (CSMs) to support risk evaluation and remedial decision-making.
  • Support and manageCERCLA/Superfund projects through various phases, including:
    • Preliminary Assessments (PA)
    • Site Inspections (SI)
    • Remedial Investigations (RI)
    • Feasibility Studies (FS)
    • Remedial Design (RD)
    • Remedial Action (RA)
    • Long-Term Monitoring (LTM)
  • Interpret geological, hydrogeological, and environmental data to evaluate contaminant fate and transport.
  • Design and oversee drilling, monitoring well installation, aquifer testing, groundwater sampling, and subcontractor activities.
  • Evaluate analytical results and prepare technical reports, work plans, sampling plans, and regulatory deliverables.
  • Coordinate with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
  • Provide technical support for remediation technologies including:
    • In situ treatment
    • Groundwater extraction and treatment
    • Soil vapor extraction
    • Monitored natural attenuation
    • Containment and source removal remedies
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, scopes, and client expectations.
  • Provide quality assurance and technical review of deliverables prepared by junior staff.
  • Mentor and develop junior geologists, hydro-geologists, and environmental professionals.
  • Support business development efforts through proposal preparation, scope development, client relationship management, and technical presentations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Geological Engineering, or related geoscience discipline.
  • California Professional Geologist (PG) license required.
  • 8+ years of environmental consulting or related experience.
  • Experience supporting complex CERCLA/Superfund and contaminated site projects.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Hydrogeology
    • Groundwater flow systems
    • Contaminant fate and transport
    • Site characterization techniques
    • Remedial technologies
  • Experience overseeing drilling, field investigations, and subcontractors.
  • Proven technical report writing and data interpretation skills.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and technical teams.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
