Position Overview
We are seeking an Embedded Protective Intelligence Analyst to join our client’s US Physical Security team in Plainsboro, NJ, US. The analyst will support the safeguarding of the client’s employees, leaders, facilities, and assets. The role will involve producing actionable intelligence about tactical security-related physical security threats, such as criminality and EP-related threats. This analyst will collect, assess, and report on credible threats, provide ongoing monitoring, and make recommendations to the corporate security team, leaders, and relevant stakeholders.
The Protective Intelligence Analyst will be based in the client’s offices and report to Global Security Intelligence team. As part of Securitas’ Intelligence Community, they will also be connected to Securitas’ global network of embedded analysts and receive support, including with training and professional development, from Securitas’ UK-based Risk Intelligence Centre.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze open-source, proprietary, and partner-provided information for threats to employees, including executive leaders.
Develop and maintain threat assessments covering:
Travel itineraries, destinations, venues, and event-related risks.
Criminal risk trends (e.g., extortion, theft, stalking, harassment).
Violent demonstrations.
Cargo and waste product theft.
Geopolitical crisis situations.
Investigate and triage concerning communications, online threats, and POIs, escalating to the client as needed.
Provide intelligence support for executive protection, travel security, and major events, including pre-travel and event briefs, assessments, and real-time threat monitoring during events and trips.
Utilize structured analytic technique methodology.
Produce clear, concise reports for physical security stakeholders, adapted to the client’s house style and priority intelligence requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in security, political science, criminology, risk engineering, intelligence, crisis management, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in intelligence collection and analysis, and familiarity with Executive Protection and security risk management concepts.
- Native-level English proficiency and a demonstrated ability to write simply and compellingly for a corporate audience.
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and predictive analytics.
- Experience conducting open-source monitoring and using intelligence platforms (e.g. Liferaft, Factal, Everbridge) for collection, trend analysis, and proactive identification of emerging/potential threats.
- Flexibility and self-confidence. The ability to get up to speed quickly on new subjects, and to speak knowledgeably and confidently about them in a client environment.
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, adapting to clients’ changing priorities and anticipating their needs
- Willingness and ability to take feedback and direction from team leads.
Work Environment
- The role will be based at the client’s site in Plainsboro, New Jersey.
- The role may require out-of-hours availability during business disruptions, crisis events, or global security incidents.
