Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1‑3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in multi‑family
  • HVAC/EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling is required
  • CPO certification is preferred
  • Proven knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, appliance repairs, roofing repairs, and other general maintenance skills
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Detail‑oriented and exhibits pride in quality of work
  • Initiative and self‑motivated to complete tasks at hand
  • Must be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends, as scheduled for on‑call service requests
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Local Fair Housing laws, OSHA, and EPA regulations
  • Valid driver’s license may be required based on property size and potential need for use of a golf cart. Position requires individuals to furnish their own reliable transportation to fulfill the job’s functions
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure the property is always well kept and maintained and immediately address any safety concerns
  • Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and the Property Manager
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, including HVAC troubleshooting and pool maintenance, if applicable
  • Remove and transfer appliances and equipment to/from storage area to apartment as circumstances warrant and assist in moving abandoned furniture, appliances, etc. to dumpster
  • Complete all service requests within 24 hours, unless the request requires extraordinary parts or labor
