The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Low Voltage-Licensed is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining low voltage systems including security, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/visual, and network cabling. The role involves performing inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades to ensure optimal performance and compliance with standards. The technician collaborates with project teams, provides technical support, and maintains accurate records. Safety protocols and company policies are essential, as is effective communication to address client needs and contribute to timely, high-quality project completion.
Whatyou'll do
- Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and functional testing to ensure reliability and compliance.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system faults to minimize downtime.
- Repair or replace damaged components and restore systems to optimal operation.
- Evaluate and upgrade existing systems to enhance performance and meet regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Provide technical support and training to end users.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure timely, high-quality project completion and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience installing, configuring, and maintaining low voltage systems.
- Ability to run, terminate, label, and test cabling in compliance with technical specifications.
- Skilled in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving system faults with minimal downtime.
- Experience performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades.
- Effective communication skills to provide technical support and training.
- Commitment to safety, adherence to company policies, and accurate record‑keeping.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hold and maintain jurisdiction‑required certification and license for the state/jurisdiction of work.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
- Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five (5) years.
- Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations within the last three (3) years.
- Commercial driving record with no preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle within the last three (3) years.
- Commercial driving record with no serious traffic violations within the last three (3) years.
- Ability to complete a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and obtain medical certification valid for at least one (1) year.
- Ability to read and speak in English.
- Option 1:
One year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related technical trade. Option 2:
Two years’ Walmart store experience. - Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Experience in local electrical codes and standards.
- CompTIA networking certifications (e.g., Network+).
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Manufacturer‑specific certifications (Honeywell, Axis, Bosch).
- NICET Level 1 or 2 Fire Alarm Certification.
- OSHA 10‑hour or 30‑hour safety certification.
- Technical training or certification in low voltage systems.

SalaryThe hourly wage range is $40.00 – $76.00. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of premiums up to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
