About this role
As an HVAC Chiller Technician with Carrier, you will impact customers by serving as the face of confidence and ensuring their comfort. Your knowledge of Commercial HVAC will be critical in working on a variety of installations, repairs, and maintenance projects. You will work both independently and as part of a team, making on‑the‑job decisions and collaborating with colleagues.
What you’ll do- Participate in startup and commissioning of new units, applying expertise to support a state‑of‑the‑art facility.
- Perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and execute regularly scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units.
- Review and interpret regulatory requirements and technical documents, including blueprints and diagrams.
- Cultivate strong customer relationships and ensure timely escalation of issues for resolution when necessary.
- Prioritize safety by adhering to licensing requirements, operating equipment safely, recognizing HVAC‑related hazards, completing safety training, and implementing effective safety measures.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of experience in the Commercial HVAC industry.
- 2+ years of experience with Chillers and EPA Universal equipment.
- Ability to push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on rooftops.
- Ability to stand, crawl, sit, and squat for extended periods.
- Valid and current Driver’s License, insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Basic understanding of building automation controls (BOMAC).
- Experience with data centers.
- Experience with Steam Turbines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of Service Max.

The hourly rate for this position is between $38.00–$76.00 per hour. Pay may vary based on skill, education, experience, and other unique qualifications.
