Electrician

Job Summary

First class industrial electrician with five years of experience in the petrochemical or heavy industrial industry.

• Troubleshoot and repair substation switch gear, PLCs, motors and lights.
• Bend and install conduits for circuits and controls.
• Pull wire and connect circuits.
• Read and interpret ladder logic and schematic drawings, including primary and secondary single line drawings.
• Use diagnostic and test equipment such as voltmeter, ammeter and megger.

• Completion of a trades school curriculum or an apprenticeship/journeyman or in‑house qualification program for the appropriate craft.
• Journeyman electrician preferred.
• Ability to coordinate work and function as part of a team.
• Ability to perform incidental tasks in any craft and participate in training programs to maintain and upgrade skills.
• Working knowledge of equipment and tools required for the efficient installation and repair of refinery equipment.
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and perform physically active assignments including work on high structures and within confined spaces.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills and ability to pass post‑offer background check and drug screening.

• Written tests and assessments.
• Meeting physical criteria for the job and a physical skills demonstration test.

$52.37 per hour.
