Position: Entry Level Diesel & Trailer Mechanic 11 am - 7 pm

Cox Fleet also services customers utilizing its 50+ nationwide service centers; each offering accident repair, painting, refurbishment, and heavy mechanical repair. We are supported by a 24/7 in‑house call‑center and provide scheduled maintenance services and unscheduled services to fleets anywhere, anytime.

Opportunity

Overview

We are looking for a Diesel and Trailer Technician. Join our Flee Tec Academy, a paid educational program that leads to a full‑time role as a Mobile Mechanic.

We pay for a five‑week, full‑time, classroom‑based training program, covering fundamentals of diesel and trailer repair, and provide tools and a stipend for meals and travel.

Program and Compensation
  • 5 weeks paid classroom training; all travel expenses paid.
  • Free technical education and a set of hand tools.
  • Hands‑on training with a Lead Technician and a full‑time job with us as a Mobile Mechanic.
  • Paid hourly wage: $16/h (or state minimum wage, whichever is greater) plus $250 stipend for the first week.
  • Hourly wage increases to $21/h after graduation from phase 1.
  • Further training and pay progression are available.
What We’re Looking For
  • Desire to start a career as a Diesel and Trailer Technician.
  • Willingness and ability to study hard.
  • Commitment to a five‑week away‑from‑home training period.
  • Maturity to focus on the task at hand.
  • Technical aptitude and passion for fixing vehicles.
  • Ability to operate an iPad.
  • Must be at least 21 to drive our trucks.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • Clear background, driving record, pre‑employment drug test, and physical certification.
