Plumbing Service Technician
The Plumbing Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial plumbing systems. This role requires a customer-focused professional who can deliver high-quality service, clear communication, and reliable solutions across a variety of plumbing needs.
The technician will work on a wide range of systems including water heaters, piping, drainage, and water treatment systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation. This position plays a key role in providing timely service and maintaining strong customer relationships through professionalism and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, low water pressure, and faulty fixtures.
- Install, service, and maintain plumbing systems such as water heaters (tank and tankless), sump pumps, piping, and fixtures.
- Perform inspections and troubleshooting of residential plumbing and water systems.
- Conduct drain cleaning, leak detection, and system repairs to restore proper functionality.
- Install and service systems such as water treatment units, gas piping, and main water lines.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues, repair options, and recommended solutions.
- Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, materials used, and job notes.
- Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes, safety standards, and best practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite and service vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service with a focus on professionalism and reliability.
- 3+ years of experience as a Plumbing Service Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
- Experience with troubleshooting, repair, and installation of plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret basic plumbing diagrams and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with water treatment systems, gas piping, and leak detection technologies.
- Experience working with HVAC-related plumbing systems or mechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with service software or mobile field service tools.
