Foreman
As a Foreman, you will be responsible for performing commercial HVAC maintenance, service, and repair work across a variety of commercial, industrial, and telecommunications facilities. You will troubleshoot HVAC equipment, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and repair or upgrade systems while leading small crews.
Responsibilities- Lead a small crew in various environments.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with rooftop units, split systems, package units, heat pumps, and related HVAC equipment.
- Inspect, repair, and replace HVAC components, including motors, contractors, belts, filters, thermostats, and controls.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure efficient system performance and reduce downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and service documentation.
- Perform startup, testing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings to customers and management.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.
- Maintain job site organization and safety.
- Participate in on-call or emergency service work as needed.
- Experience in HVAC maintenance, service, and repair work.
- Skill in pipe fitting, blueprint reading, sheet metal work, and brazing.
- Proficiency in HVAC installation and pipe installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and service documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in startup, testing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment.
- Ability to maintain accurate service records.
- Familiarity with applicable codes and industry standards.

Work EnvironmentWork is performed in office buildings, retail facilities, industrial locations, telecommunications sites, and other commercial properties. The role includes indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions, requiring comfort working independently and interacting with clients. You will be part of a service-focused environment with preventative maintenance and emergency repair responsibilities.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Great Meadows, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $45.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
