Job SummaryThis position will inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on various crane equipment, including mobile cranes (All Terrain, Rough Terrain, Crawler Cranes, Boom Trucks, knuckle booms, bucket trucks, etc.). Mechanical experience is required, along with knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems. The role also involves identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the development of customer relationships and market presence.
Candidates will be required to take a skill assessment as part of the interview/hiring process.
Key Responsibilities- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician capable of operating and inspecting cranes to diagnose defects.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, LICCON, and Greer systems.
- Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.
- Reads and understands operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications.
- Prepares for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
- Maintains conformity to safety requirements, manufacturer procedures, and other regulations.
- Properly fills out working reports, hour’s reports, time sheets, hour’s overviews, work orders, and other company and customer paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.
- Completes expense reports in a timely manner as dictated by company policy.
- Exhibits exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Willingness to work overtime and on weekends; travel is required periodically for 1 to 4‑day intervals.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required; CDL is preferred.
- Experience with mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT and TMS Cranes, Grove GMK European Cranes, Manitowoc, Liebherr, Terex, Palfinger, IMT, Cormach, National, Demag, Manitex, and other brand types.
