Industrial Maintenance Technician

$30 - $45 per hour | Rockleigh, NJ | On-site | Permanent

A growing food manufacturing company in Northvale, NJ is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to help keep its production and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently. This is a hands‑on position supporting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, equipment installations, and facility upkeep.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on production, processing, and packaging machinery
• Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs with minimal production downtime
• Work with motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, sensors, and variable-frequency drives
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility maintenance projects
• Document completed work and communicate equipment concerns to production leadership
• Follow all safety, sanitation, food-quality, and GMP requirements
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies

Qualifications:

• At least three years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food, beverage, packaging, or consumer products manufacturing
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 480V three-phase power
• Experience with automated production and packaging equipment
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• PLC troubleshooting experience is helpful
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely around operating machinery
