Position: ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC with Security Clearance
Location: McGuire AFB

Duties
-Tests, maintains, calibrates, and repairs advanced avionics systems using a multi-system test configuration or specialized avionics test stations.

-Digital Analog Video (DAV)/Test measurement and diagnostic equipment/system pecular maintenance:
Tests, maintains, calibrates, and repairs advanced multi-system test stations and specialized avionics test stations.

-Effectively communicates information to the proper channels. Certifies work produced under the USAF Technical Order Program.

-Utilizes safety practices and procedures, complies with security regulations, directives, and policies, and maintains a safe and clean work area.

-Uses and maintains tools and test equipment required to accomplish duties. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

* Performs shift work with uncommon tours of duty.
* Maintains job proficiency by reading/reviewing new or revised technical orders or related publications and by completing applicable CDC, OJT, and FTD classes as required
* May be required to fly in military or contract aircraft for TDY maintenance or training, in accordance with the JTRs.
* May be required to support other units in performing on- or off-equipment maintenance.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-2600, Electronic Equipment Installation and Maintenance Group, Electronics Mechanic. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, must meet any screen-out element listed, show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties at the level for which you are applying.

Emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the Ability to Do the Work without more than normal supervision JOB ELEMENTS:
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the abbreviated test language for all systems and programming principles sufficient to analyze aircraft and test multi-systems, pneumatic equipment, and computerized test station software and software problems sufficient to make recommendations to software engineers to correct problems resulting from software and hardware deficiencies and advise engineers on the effect of proposed changes or modifications to software or sub-systems that effect the entire aircraft multi-system or digital analog video (DAV) multi-system test station and of USAF Technical Order Program.

2. Knowledge of electronics, software controlled test multi-system DAV automated test station, interface test adapters (ITA), display unit test set (DUTS), DAV associated equipment (electrical load bank, video pattern generator, memory loader/verifier, video monitors, and pneumatic test sets test stations, their peripherals test results, a variety of test equipment, self-test programs and technical data containing schematic diagrams, signal, data diagrams, test procedures, program information, mathematical formulas to analyze performance, inspect, test, troubleshoot, identify, isolate malfunctions, repair, disassemble, assemble, rebuild, overhaul, modify, calibrate, align, and determine malfunction is in the test software, the unit under test, or the test station, the interaction of aircraft avionic multi-systems that are interfaced with the test multi-system DAV automated test station, ITA, DUTS, DAV associated equipment (electrical load bank, video pattern generator, memory loader/verifier, video monitors, heads-up display, and pneumatic test sets) test station in the work center (e.g. electronic flight controls, environmental and fire detection control, radar, radio navigation, warning and caution, mission computer/electronic displays, and integrated radio management) 3.Skill
