A Brief Overview

Make a meaningful difference in a child’s day. As a Clinical Assistant, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting children through therapeutic play, recreation, and structured learning experiences designed to promote growth and adaptive functioning. Working closely with a dedicated classroom team, you’ll help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children can build skills and confidence. Under the guidance of the Clinical Specialist and Operations Manager, you’ll assist with behavioral skills training, structured assessments, and daily program activities.

You’ll also help ensure smooth program operations by safely transporting children, supporting equipment and supply needs, and assisting with clerical tasks as needed. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, energetic, and passionate about helping children thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven setting.

What You Will Do

  • Support the classroom team in implementing each child’s individualized treatment plan using structured interventions.
  • Integrate treatment goals into group and individual program activities.
  • Assist with behavioral, emotional, and social assessments and contribute to treatment planning.
  • Provide educational and therapeutic activities that promote adaptive functioning.
  • Supervise children closely to ensure a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
  • Use approved non-violent crisis intervention strategies; apply physical intervention only as a last resort and under supervision.
  • Document clinical information, data, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate behavioral concerns and updates to the clinical team and families as appropriate.
  • Provide safe transportation for children, including driving a minibus and supervising patients during transport.
  • Maintain vehicle safety, documentation, supplies, and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree - Required

Experience Qualifications

  • At least one (1) year with children who have special health care or behavioral needs - Preferred

Skills And Abilities

  • Ability to operate a company vehicle and/or be insured on a CHOP policy. (Required proficiency)
  • Knowledge of child development, demonstrated skills working with children in groups, and knowledge of behavioral principles. (Required proficiency)
  • Familiar with and comfortable using computers. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Department of Motor Vehicles - within 6 months - Required
  • CDL with Passenger Endorsement - Department of Motor Vehicles - within 6 months - Required
  • Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention - Crisis Prevention Institute - within 3 months - Required

SALARY RANGE:

$20.55 - $25.69 Hourly
