Location: Great Meadows
Townsbury Spec is a residential facility for behavioral‑challenged children.
We are seeking flexible days and hours, but our primary need is the hours/shift from 3 pm‑11 pm (Monday through Friday or on the weekends).
Duties- Supervise, organize, and support recreational and/or socialization activities
- Play an active role in leading the milieu staff through youth’s structured routine while collaborating with youth’s case manager, clinician, and prescriber
- Engage and interact with youth based on behavioral intervention plans
- Maintain a clean, safe environment
- Observe, document, and acknowledge positive behaviors
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Bachelor level degree in a related social service field (Psychology, Sociology, Education, Public Health, etc.), Psychology preferred. Preference to those interested in enrolling in an MSW program, to achieve growth within the agency.
1 year or more with a high school diploma working with youth in a behavioral group setting.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Schedule:
Weekends 3 pm‑11 pm or Per Diem/On‑Call
Townsbury Spec is a program of Youth Consultation Service (YCS), which is a behavioral health and social services agency that has been caring for at‑risk children and families since 1918 in therapeutic residences, special education schools, in‑home and in‑community programs throughout NJ.
