Field Lead

Make an impact by joining Service Source, a champion for people with disabilities. Salary/Hourly Rate: $25.00. This position will provide direct field supervision for individuals experiencing disability, justice involvement, poverty, and/or homelessness enrolled in our employment programs. The Field Lead oversees all job site activities and ensures that participant workers are trained appropriately for their site (e.g., personal safety, use of equipment, body mechanics, PPE, reporting of accidents/injuries, etc.).

The role also manages site logistics such as transportation, food, and equipment and maintains close contact with the Supervisory Field Lead & Director of Day Works, Case Managers, and Employment Specialists for coordination.

Primary Duties
  • Develop a good rapport with participants and understand hurdles caused by or exacerbated by disability, justice involvement, poverty, and/or homelessness.
  • Use trauma‑informed practices to connect participants to relevant resources.
  • Supervise all job‑site activities: training personnel for safety and work quality, managing assets and equipment, ensuring all needed supplies are on hand, and communicating with participants and management as needed.
  • Perform tasks side by side with participants, maintaining line‑of‑sight supervision of all crew members.
  • Transport participants to designated work locations and drop them back off at the end of the workday.
  • Provide job‑readiness coaching on the dynamic skills needed to obtain and maintain employment as opportunities arise on site.
  • Keep progress notes and service data up to date in the client database daily.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Attend applicable staff and community meetings.
  • Perform other duties, including job‑site coverage as assigned by management.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Welcome new participants and organize crew for day labor.
  • Coordinate lunches for workers.
  • Provide mentorship, advocacy, and rehabilitation support to individuals exiting the Colorado Department of Corrections and other justice‑involved participants.
  • Connect participants with case managers for health, food/nutrition, and other resources using trauma‑informed practices.
  • Work collaboratively with a wide variety of constituents and adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with city partners.
  • Keep vehicle clean, sanitized, and in good condition; notify supervisor of any maintenance or repair needs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by employer’s automotive carrier; one with at least three years of good standing and no more than three points.
  • Two years’ experience working with justice‑involved populations preferred; lived experience with justice involvement is eligible for consideration.
  • Considerable experience in crisis intervention, trauma‑informed care practices, supporting individuals experiencing poverty, homelessness, and disabilities in obtaining and retaining employment, money management, benefits assistance, and understanding of mental illness and its impact on employment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills including email, Microsoft Office, and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and outside in Colorado weather during all seasons.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to sit and use hands, talk or hear; occasionally stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions. Noise level is usually moderate.
