• Enhance the MARCO Android app to Material 3 and Jetpack Compose, implement ArcGIS Esri Maps SDK, prepare the app for testing by MARCO staff and partners, and publish in Google Play Store.
• Train new students to maintain the technology, provide guidance on publishing in Google Play Store.
• Update the current app to use the latest MARCO API services.
• Migrate from ArcGIS Android Kotlin Activity SDK to Jetpack Compose SDK.
• Redesign and implement the app in Kotlin using Jetpack Compose.
• Change map legends and layer presentation.
• Enable local caching of maps so they can be viewed when out of cellular coverage.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Experience designing and developing Android applications using Kotlin, Material UI, Jetpack Compose, Android framework, ArcGIS Mapping SDK, and REST API services.
• Experience publishing Android apps in the Google Play Store and understanding build settings for various Android device and OS versions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop production‑quality Android apps in Kotlin with ArcGIS SDK integration and to publish them in the App Store.
