What is the business segment this position will sit within? This position will be part of our Enterprise Coaching team. We primarily support the Insurance and Retirement segments. Some engagements reach into Corporate and other parts of the org.

Why is this position open? We continue to expand our coaching products & services. We also continue to expand our (internal) customer base. Consequently, we are increasing our coaching capacity in response to this increased demand.

How is it impacting the business? We help the organization build better software for our customers. This leads to increases in customer retention, customer satisfaction, and in attracting new customers

What is the scope of the project? Could you please provide 3 - 4 sentences of the project work and what do day to day responsibilities look like? Primary responsibilities include coaching teams on modern software engineering practices (ex: TDD, CI/CD, test automation). We often engagement with teams in a Dojo environment (e.g. immersive learning environment). Engineering coaches work with teams in that environment to ultimately build better software.

If a candidate does not have all the technologies listed, would there be technologies you would consider "similar and/or "transferable for this position? I wouldn't necessary expect candidates to have experience will all technologies. Java (or similar techs) are primary.

What are your absolute "Must haves in a candidate? Ability to coach and when necessary hands-on. Deep experience in modern (XP) software development practices. Previous coaching experience. Previously employed at a reputable engineering organization
