HANA ABAP Cloud Developer

Location:

New Jersey - Onsite

• ABAP Cloud & Application Development
• Design and develop ABAP Cloud compliant applications using ABAP for Cloud (Steampunk)
• Build end to end solutions using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
• Develop behavior definitions, CDS views, service definitions, and OData services
• Ensure cloud ready syntax (no classic ABAP, no implicit DB access, whitelisted APIs only)
• Clean Core & Extensibility
• Implement side by side extensions on SAP BTP instead of core modifications
• Refactor or remediate custom Z code to comply with Clean Core principles
• Leverage released SAP APIs and events for integration and extensibility
• SAP BTP & Integration
• Develop ABAP services on SAP BTP ABAP Environment

• SAP S/4
  
  HANA (Public / Private)
• Non SAP systems using REST/OData, SOAP, Events
• Collaborate with integration teams using SAP BTP Integration Suite
• Testing, Quality & Compliance

• Perform ABAP Unit Testing and cloud compatible test automation
• Ensure code quality using ATC, cloud checks, and SAP best practices
• Support GxP/SOX compliant development and validation documentation (if applicable)
• Dev Ops & Transport Management
• Work with gCTS, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud based transport mechanisms
• Support cloud native development lifecycle and agile delivery models

• Mandatory Technical Skills
• Strong experience in ABAP Cloud (Steampunk)
• RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
• CDS Views (View Entities)
• OData V4 services
• Hands on expertise with:
• Solid understanding of SAP S/4
  
  HANA architecture
• Experience with SAP BTP ABAP Environment
• Knowledge of Clean Core principles and SAP extensibility models
• Working knowledge of SAP API Hub and released APIs
• Core SAP Knowledge
• ABAP OO (Object Oriented ABAP)
• SQL / Open SQL for cloud
• Authorization concepts (IAM, Business Roles)
• Fiori Elements consumption (even if UI is not primary focus)
