Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Basking Ridge, NJ. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in designing and executing automated test scripts for web and API testing, with strong proficiency in Java, Selenium, and related tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Development:
  Design and maintain test automation frameworks using Java, Selenium Web Driver, TestNG/JUnit, and Maven.
• API Testing:
  Develop and run automated API tests using REST Assured and Postman.
• BDD Implementation:
  Work with Cucumber or similar BDD frameworks to align test cases with business requirements.
• CI/CD Integration:
  Contribute to automated test integration within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab, Git Hub Actions).
• Test Execution:
  Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for web applications and services.
• Defect Reporting:
  Log and track bugs using JIRA, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Documentation:
  Maintain test documentation, test cases, and test data in tools like Test Rail.
• Backend Verification:
  Execute SQL queries to validate backend data and support end-to-end testing.
• UI Validation:
  Perform validation of UI elements using knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

  Work closely with developers, product owners, and Dev Ops to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Suggest improvements to existing QA processes and contribute to automation best practices.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of QA experience with strong hands-on automation testing skills.
• Proficient in Java, Selenium Web Driver, TestNG/JUnit, REST Assured, Postman.
• Familiar with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong SQL skills for database validation.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript for front-end testing.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred

Skills:

• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker.
• ISTQB or similar QA certification is a plus.
