Summary:
Leads Appian developer driving low-code design, development, modernization, and sustainment to enhance contract writing and related business processes.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
- Appian Senior Developer certification (L3)
- 10 years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years of hands-on Appian development
- Deep experience designing, configuring, and delivering Appian applications in enterprise environments
- Ability to translate epics, features, and user stories into scalable workflows, interfaces, process models, and integrations
- Knowledge of workflow automation, testing support, release coordination, and production sustainment
- Experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and enforcing Appian best practices
- Experience supporting cloud environments, with knowledge of common platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Working knowledge of AI concepts and practical applications

Qualifications:
- Experience with Army or DoD enterprise systems, Appian-first design approaches, data architecture, and long-range modernization planning
- Experience modernizing legacy capabilities in Appian, supporting federal acquisition or contract writing workflows, and using an Appian-first approach across shared IL5/IL6 codebases is highly desired
- Comp Tia Sec+ certification
Responsibilities:
- Lead Appian solution design and development activities
- Translate business requirements into scalable low-code solutions
- Guide modernization of legacy capabilities into Appian
- Coordinate with architects, testers, and Dev Sec Ops personnel to support successful delivery and sustainment
The posted salary range is a good-faith estimate. Actual compensation will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
DSA - Salary Pay Range
$180,000 - $190,000 USD
