A Portable Restroom Technician is responsible for the delivery, pickup, and meticulous sanitation of portable toilets and handwashing stations at construction sites and event venues. This role involves operating a specialized service truck to pump out waste tanks, thoroughly cleaning and restocking units, and performing minor on-site repairs to ensure optimal hygiene. A successful candidate must maintain a detailed service route while adhering to strict environmental and safety regulations for waste disposal.

Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record is essential. While many units can be serviced with a standard license, larger pump trucks often require a Class B CDL with a Tanker (N) endorsement.
DOT Medical Card: In accordance with 2026 NRII regulations, drivers of commercial vehicles must pass a Department of Transportation physical exam to certify they are physically fit for the rigors of the road and the job.
Heavy Lifting & Agility: Technicians must be able to frequently lift and maneuver objects weighing 50 to 100 lbs, including loading/unloading units and handling heavy vacuum hoses.
Stamina & Environmental Resilience: The role requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (extreme heat, rain, or snow) and perform repetitive physical tasks like bending, kneeling, and crouching.

Certifications:
Many employers require or provide OSHA 10 or HAZWOPER training to ensure technicians understand how to safely handle biological waste and sanitation chemicals.
