A Japanese shipping company in NJ is looking for shipping operations staff.

This role is responsible for the operational management and coordination of cargo vessels transporting goods from the U.S. to Central and South America. The Operator ensures smooth maritime logistics by monitoring vessel movements, coordinating with port agents, managing voyage-related finances, and maintaining seamless communication between captains and onshore stakeholders.
Vessel Monitoring: Track and monitor daily vessel positions, schedules, and operational status to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
Port Agency Coordination: Arrange port entries/departures with local agents and draft formal Voyage Instructions for vessel captains.
Financial Management: Issue freight invoices to charterers and arrange timely remittances/disbursements to port agents.
Communication Hub: Serve as the primary point of contact for Captains and port agents via phone and email to resolve operational issues.
Bunker Procurement: Coordinate the procurement and delivery of fuel (bunkers) and lubricants to ensure uninterrupted vessel operations.
Crew Support: Provide administrative support for crew-related arrangements, including shore passes, rotations, or emergency requirements.
Documentation: Maintain accurate voyage files and ensure all maritime documentation complies with international shipping regulations.
