Heavy Equipment Driver/Operator

Schedule: Full-time (6am-5pm Mon–Fri)
What You’ll Do- Promote safety: prioritize safety for yourself and others in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
- Operate heavy equipment: safely drive off‑highway equipment to transport raw materials and/or finished products.
- Inspect equipment: perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and complete daily mobile equipment reports.
- Maintain equipment: check fluid levels, add correct fluids, and assist with minor maintenance.
- Monitor processes, materials, or surroundings: observe operations and report needed maintenance or adjustments to ensure safety.
- Other duties as assigned, including ground and repair tasks as required by plant management.
- Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of general principles and best practices for operating and servicing heavy construction equipment preferred.
- Flexibility to work overtime, extended hours, and outside in all weather conditions; tolerance of loud noise.
Salary is determined by the applicable collective bargaining agreement. No prior experience: starting rate $32.42 per hour.
