Position:
Delivery Driver
Mon-Fri 1st Shift Start Time- 6:30am $18-20
Responsibilities- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver product to customers.
- Manually load and unload delivery truck, verify parts loaded and unloaded, collect payments from customers, and obtain signatures confirming accuracy.
- Deliver returned items back to the location.
- Drive a company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner, avoiding traffic violations and accidents.
- Physically load the truck at the fleet location, verify the condition of the truck, the manifest, and other paperwork associated with the deliveries.
- Drive to the delivery destination, unload the truck, verify parts unloaded, obtain signatures of receiving locations, and sign off on the integrity of what was loaded.
- Make proper notations on the manifest, provide receipts for parts being returned from customers, and collect accounts receivable as necessary.
- Comply with established company policies and procedures, complete annual training, and comply with FMCSA regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery/pick up of products.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Not responsible for supervising employees.
- No degree required.
- 1+ years of experience required.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Must qualify for corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance.
- Must meet DOT testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must comply with state and local mandated requirements and FMCSA regulations.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Six months related delivery driving experience.
- Warehouse operations experience.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and basic graphic software.
- Basic oral communication and ability to write brief messages and keep simple records.
- Problem solving using clear directions and procedures.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time. The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, may need to work in cramped spaces, may wear personal protective equipment (PPE), may be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels, and may need to lift up to 75 pounds.
Travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
