Job Overview
Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I – Management Level, Individual Contributor.
Hourly base pay: $17.35 (range $16.63 – $24.90).
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 2:00PM – 10:00PM.
Location:
Must work onsite at a specified Cox location; no remote option. Travel required.
- Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld computer (Portable Terminal – PT) or via headset for data entry.
- Record VIN, stock number, dealer , make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.
- Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
- Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
- Flag “no key” vehicles and direct transporters to the proper drop zone.
- Report transport damage as needed.
- Take a digital image of each vehicle upon receipt.
- Provide proper sale identification windshield code during registration/check‑in.
- Follow all safety and health procedures and model related behaviors.
- Perform other duties assigned by manager or supervisor, e.g., assist on sale days, drive vehicles through auction sales lanes.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Less than 2 years of related experience; 1–3 years of auction or vehicle registration experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license; safe driver required.
- Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
- Basic computer skills.
- Physical requirements:
stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear regularly; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb frequently; lift 1–15 pounds; vision: close, distance, color, depth, focus.
Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise level.
Drug TestingPre‑employment drug testing required. Cox Automotive does not test for marijuana for this position; possession or use of illegal drugs during work hours is prohibited.
