Courier/Swing Driver/DOT position at Federal Express Corporation

Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages, ensuring service conformance and providing excellent customer service at all assigned routes within the station’s service area. Perform additional duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED.

Six (6) months of courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of the service area.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station’s service area preferred.
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and strong courier methods.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to inquiries in accordance with FMCSA guidance.

• Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
• Must meet federal motor carrier safety regulations and obtain a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Requires a medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Non-covered safety‑sensitive position.
• Ability to remain alert and work safely at all times.

• Experience operating larger delivery vehicles.
• Previous DOT compliance experience.
• Familiarity with the Federal Express “Package Pickup System.”
• Knowledge of the local traffic and delivery routes.

Pay range: $25.65 – $38.93 per hour.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, varying shift hours.

• Full‑time employees who complete 91 days of employment and average 12 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental, vision coverage, and tuition reimbursement.
• Employees age 21 and older are eligible for 401(k) after one month of employment.
