Part Time School Bus Drivers

As a First Student Part Time School Bus Driver you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of the students you transport. You will be there at the start of the students’ day with before‑school pickup and at the end with an afternoon shift to bring students safely back home.

We provide paid CDL training and industry‑leading technology – no experience as a bus driver is required.

Day to Day Responsibilities
  • A split shift: an early morning before‑school pickup and an after‑school drop‑off with a few free hours in between
  • Guaranteed 5 hours per school day
  • No nights or weekends, unless you want to work those hours
  • Optional additional hours through trips and charters when available
Benefits
  • Pay rate $31.50 per hour

Qualifications
  • Age 21 or older
  • Valid driver’s license for at least three years
  • Strong interest in working with students

Safety and Testing

This position requires DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.

In Washington state, all technician and driving positions are considered safety‑sensitive and are therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing, including cannabis.
