$27.90/Hour

Highlights:

• Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturday hours
• Early start time - 5:15am - 4:00pm
• Hourly pay - $27.90
• Year round - steady work

• 1 year verifiable CDL driving experience within the last 7 years required

• Safely operate front, side, or rear-loading trucks for picking up bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material.
• Transport material to a disposal, transfer or recycling facility and may make one or more trips throughout the shift.
• Deploy both manual and automatic trucks as needed.
• Repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, move and maneuver up to 100 pounds, and mount and dismount the truck multiple times on each route.

• 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with airbrake endorsement.
• 1-year CDL driving experience within the last 7 years.
• Great safety record and clean MVR.
• Experience as a driver or helper for a refuse company is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA and applicable traffic regulations.
• Ability to speak and read English to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic and signals, respond to official questions and make legible entries on reports and records.
• Read and understand a map.
• Meet the physical and safety requirements of the position.
• Willing and able to work required hours, including weekend, night, and/or holiday work as allowed under DOT regulation.

• Routes may require navigating through congested communities and confined or tight areas in city locations.
• Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential to successfully perform this job.
• Drivers routinely climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts.
• Pre- and post-inspections are required; drivers are responsible for ensuring their truck complies with IWS safety standards, OSHA and DOT regulations, and local traffic laws before and while operating the vehicle.
