Inbound Logistics Coordinator
As an Inbound Logistics Coordinator the employee engages with Burlington's merchandise suppliers & carriers through the state-of-the-art Transportation Management System to route, plan, optimize cost, enforce compliance, and deliver best-in-class service levels for all shipments of merchandise inbound to Burlington's distribution centers. This individual is also a liaison to our merchant organization; providing P.O. visibility and high levels of customer service to internal stakeholders.
A Day In The Life
- Execute shipment routing process through Burlington's Transportation Mgmt. System while enforcing vendor process requirements and adhering to internal service level agreements. This would be back-up to Inbound planners that are on PTO or if there is high volume.
- Respond to emails related to questions and shipment visibility inquiries via the group mailbox known as the Route box timely, and with the utmost professionalism.
- Utilize Inbound Exception report to ensure loads are being handled timely and EDI updates are being made to progress load closing
- Provide daily communication to carriers from Expedite report of loads that need to be moved in an expedited manner and the time frame loads need to be picked up by
- Publish daily loads that need to be spot rated and compile results and award and tender loads to carrier that wins award

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Comfortable navigating multiple systems and applications while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional email correspondence.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Collaborative team player who builds positive working relationships across departments and communicates effectively with internal and external partners.
