CDL B Rear Load Garbage Truck Driver

Location: Gloucester, NJ

Salary: $27.90 per hour

Shift: Monday‑Friday, 5:15 am‑4:00 pm; occasional Saturday hours.

• Safely operate front, side, or rear‑loading trucks to pick up bags or containers of waste or recyclable material.
• Transport material to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities, possibly making multiple trips during the shift.
• Deploy both manual and automatic trucks as required.
• Repetitively lift up to 50 pounds, move and maneuver up to 100 pounds, and mount/dismount the truck multiple times per route.
• Perform driver pre‑ and post‑inspection to ensure compliance with IWS safety standards, OSHA, DOT regulations, and local traffic laws.
• Navigate congested communities and confined or tight areas in city locations; execute skilled backing maneuvers.
• Climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts as needed.

• 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with an Airbrake endorsement.
• At least one year of CDL driving experience within the last seven years.
• Excellent safety record and clean MVR.
• Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations.
• Proficient in speaking and reading English for general public interaction and official documentation.
• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Meet the physical and safety requirements of the position.
• Willing and able to work required hours under DOT regulation, including weekend, night, or holiday work.

• Routes may require navigation through congested communities and confined or tight areas in city locations.
• Highly skilled in backing maneuvers.
• Driver responsibility for ensuring the truck is in compliance with safety standards and regulations at all times.
