The Fuel Farm Supervisor is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient daily operation of Jet Aviation Teterboro's aviation-fuel storage, quality-control, inventory, and distribution functions.
This position provides direct supervision to Fuel Farm Leads and Fuel Farm Technicians, establishes daily work priorities, verifies completion of required inspections and testing, and maintains operational accountability for fuel receipts, storage, transfers, inventory records, equipment condition, and shift handoffs.
The Supervisor works closely with the Assistant Manager - GSE & Fuel Farm, Line Service shift leadership, the Ramp Communications Center, Safety/EHS, Training, Facilities, fuel suppliers, airport representatives, and third-party vendors to maintain fuel quality, audit readiness, emergency preparedness, and uninterrupted operational support.
Work Schedule & CompensationJet Aviation Teterboro formally operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. This position may require evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and additional coverage during peak traffic, severe weather, special events, ground stops, ramp congestion, or other irregular operations.
The posted salary ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline range for this non-exempt position will be as follows: $32.00 - $33.00 hourly which is equivalent to $66,560 - $68,640 annually, plus a performance-based bonus.
Minimum Requirements- High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or technical training in aviation, petroleum operations, maintenance, logistics, safety, or a related field is preferred.
- Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in aviation fueling, Fuel Farm operations, petroleum storage and distribution, fuel-quality control, or a closely related safety-sensitive operation.
- One or more years of lead, supervisory, training, or work-coordination experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of aviation-fuel receipt, storage, sampling, testing, transfer, inventory reconciliation, filtration, and equipment-inspection requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead employees, assign work, establish priorities, verify task completion, address performance concerns, and maintain accountability across multiple shifts.
- Experience maintaining accurate quality-control, safety, inspection, inventory, training, preventive-maintenance, and discrepancy records.
- Ability to evaluate fuel-quality or equipment concerns, stop an unsafe operation, elevate issues appropriately, and coordinate timely corrective action.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to communicate effectively with employees, leadership, drivers, suppliers, airport representatives, inspectors, and vendors.
- Proficiency with standard business software and electronic inspection, inventory, scheduling, or recordkeeping systems.
