About the RoleThe CDL Class “A” Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe transportation and delivery of materials and heavy equipment to various job sites. This position involves operating and maintaining a Peterbilt Triaxle and other equipment while adhering to safety protocols and demonstrating professionalism.
Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and reliability in transportation services.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a Peterbilt Triaxle to transport materials and equipment.
- Load and unload materials and equipment at Shearon facilities and job sites.
- Use loaders to facilitate truck loading processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and traffic regulations during transport.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the truck.
- Handle plants, trees, and construction materials with care to ensure proper transport and delivery.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project schedules and goals.
- Maintain accurate mileage/fuel logs and daily pre-trip inspection records.
- At least 1 year of experience with a Class A CDL.
- A clean driving record.
- Proficiency in operating dump trucks and loaders.
- Experience with loading/unloading techniques for materials, excavators, and backhoes.
- Familiarity with transportation safety protocols.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
