Metropolis Logistics LLC, a Delivery Service Partner, has immediate openings for full-time Delivery Drivers in our Teterboro, NJ location. Our company is building a team of highly motivated and responsible Delivery Drivers who enjoy working and growing within a team environment. This is last-mile, door-to-door residential delivery. You will drive a 16–26 ft box truck on a local route out of our Teterboro station, park on residential streets, and carry packages to customers' doors for the length of the shift. You are home every night. This is not line-haul, not middle-mile, and not station-to-station freight.

We pay for DOT Medical Certifications!

We have DOT driving positions available:

• 16'/ 24' box trucks as Delivery Driver + helper team/ vehicle (DOT NON-CDL).

What you'll do:

• Safely operate your delivery vehicle at all times
• Lift up to 300lbs with help (2 person team, lifting equipment)
• Lift up to 70lbs by yourself
• Maintain ongoing communication with dispatcher during your route
• Use a handheld device for routing information, customer delivery information
• Navigate a variety of routes throughout the delivery area
• Help with the load out process in the morning
• Handle customer packages with care
• Daily stops range from 50-70 stops per day
• Complete a full local route of residential stops each shift, carrying packages from the truck to the customer's door
• Park, load and unload safely on residential streets
• Get in and out of the vehicle repeatedly throughout a 9–11 hour shift
• Work outdoors in all weather
• Comfortable with repeated lifting, carrying and walking to the door for the full shift, with or without reasonable accommodation

You must be:

• Eligible to work in the U.S
• 21 years of age
• Valid Driver's License from state with residence. Good driving record is MANDATORY
• Complete a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Must be fluent in English when applying for a DOT driver position
