POSITION: Student Transportation Paraprofessional Substitutes
SALARY: $30.00 PER HOUR
The Wood-Ridge Public School District is seeking qualified staff members to provide assistance to student passengers in the district transportation pool.
- Morning and Afternoon routes available
- Minimum of 2.5 hours work in each shift for a total of 5 hours
- Morning route time span 6:30 AM - 8:45 AM
- Afternoon route time span (depending on time of student dismissal) 2:15 PM - 4:30 PM
- District is willing to hire different individuals for each time slot, as needed

- Safely provide assistance to student passengers utilizing school district transportation.
- Adhere to all district, state, and federal transportation policies and safety regulations.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transit.
- Must hold or be eligible for any of the following:
Substitute teacher certification, Passing score on Para Pro Assessment (Praxis), or NJ Education certification. - Successful completion of required background checks.
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with all student transportation safety practices.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to maintain professional conduct with students and staff.
- Completion of required on-line course work for the position.
