DescriptionWe are recruiting a HGV RORO Driver to join our team in Linwood you will be working a dayshift from 6am to 4pm, 5 days a week, 45h with eligibility for overtime In this role you will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer focused manner.
Key Responsibilities- Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
- Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
- Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
- Waste Transportation:
Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations. - Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
- The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
- Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
- Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise- Class 2 LGV driving licence.
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Professional and organised approach.
