Warehouse Associate - Day Time Receiving (DTR)
Compensation: This starting pay for this position is $20.00 p/h, with three increases at two months, six months and finally at one year!
Shift: 9am to 5:30pm

Primary Function: Performs tasks associated with the receipt, storage and shipment of product while meeting productivity, quality, safety, behavior and attendance expectations. Effectively and efficiently uses established procedures, tools, equipment and technologies to complete transactions related to inbound and outbound processes with a distribution center.
You Will:
- Safely perform assigned warehouse functions utilizing established processes, procedures and tools while meeting performance expectations for productivity, quality, safety, attendance, and overall performance.
- Functions may include, but are not limited to unloading parcel trailer by hand, unloading trailers with use of powered industrial equipment (PIE), put‑away, sorting, labeling, picking, packing, replenishing, auditing, shipping, making boxes, etc.
- Comply with Grainger policies, guidelines and procedures as well as state and federal regulations, OSHA and hazardous material requirements in the storage, handling and movement of product.
- Perform necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
- Actively participate in process improvements by utilizing Grainger’s quality system.
- Meet productivity, quality, safety, and attendance requirements.
- Lift up to 75 pounds continuously and operate warehouse vehicles and material handling equipment.
- Customer‑service oriented.
- Possess good attention to accuracy and quality.
- Have no written warnings or higher in the last six months in the current position; no work restrictions.
You Have:
- Minimum of 6–12 months of warehouse or related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate improvement opportunities as well as concerns within the process.
- Self‑motivated and performance‑driven.
- Ability to operate computerized scanning equipment.
- Willingness to operate powered industrial equipment at various height levels.
- Understanding that the position’s efficiency and effectiveness directly impact customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Tolerance for an environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and work around moving equipment.
- Compliance with OSHA and hazardous materials guidelines.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
