Distribution Associate AM

AM Shift: 4:00AM - 2:30PM $19 Hourly

• Unload case goods, bedding and/or upholstered furniture using a two‑wheel hand cart and second‑person assistance when needed.
• Palletize product and box product when necessary.
• Operate mobile lift equipment to bin product, placing incoming product into the warehouse racks.
• Based on the assigned load sheet, retrieve product from aisle racks after clearance by scanner and load trailer.
• Pick up breakage, miscellaneous wood, plastic and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Check for damaged product and do not load any damaged product for shipment to customers.
• Interact and respond professionally to co‑workers' requests.
• Meet established product rates and accuracy standards.
• Have excellent listening skills and be able to work independently and with a team.
• Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Work well with others and function in a team environment.
• Safely operate all required equipment.
• Be able to move extremities and the spine through a functional range of motion allowing safe maneuvering of product from floor to overhead while material handling. The ability to work in awkward postures is occasionally required.
• Have sufficient strength in the trunk and extremities to perform tasks in multiple positions from the floor to overhead while material handling.
• Be able to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction while material handling.
• Be able to seize, hold and grasp items typical of this job throughout the work period.
• Be able to pinch and work primarily with the fingers throughout the workday.
• Have sufficient capacity to lift, carry and push‑pull.
• Maintain excellent balance to sustain equilibrium in all positions.
• Meet the minimal physical demands consistent with a classification of Very‑HEAVY, as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor.
• Be exposed to potential slip and trip hazards: pallets on the floor, wet weather, cold/hot temperatures on the loading dock and in the yard. The warehouse temperature is mechanically heated, not cooled, and the worker may be required to work in and out of unheated trailers.

PPE Required; steel toe shoes and fall protection harness.
