Compensation and BenefitsThis position is hourly. Pay starts at $20/hour, with three raises in 12 months bringing your pay to $21.20/hour.
- $20/hour base pay
- $1/hour additional pay for powered industrial equipment (PIE) operators
- Three raises in 12 months bring pay to $21.20/hour

Primary Function:
- Performs tasks associated with the receipt, storage, and shipment of product while meeting productivity, quality, safety, behavioral, and attendance expectations.
- Uses established procedures, tools, equipment, and technologies to complete inbound and outbound processes.
Principal
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely perform assigned warehouse functions using established processes and tools while meeting productivity, quality, safety, and attendance expectations.
- Unload, put‑away, sort, label, pick, pack, replenish, audit, ship, box, and other related tasks.
- Comply with Grainger policies, guidelines, procedures, OSHA, and hazardous material requirements in the storage, handling, and movement of product.
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
- Participate in process improvements using Grainger’s quality system.
- Must tolerate exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and moving equipment.
- Meet productivity, quality, safety, and attendance requirements, including overtime as required.
- Lift continuously up to 75 pounds.
- Operate warehouse vehicles and material handling equipment (e.g., Crown, Pacer, Reach Truck, Order Picker, Barrett, Turret Truck).
- Work at various elevated stations throughout the distribution center.
- Operate computerized scanning equipment.
- Work in a team environment.
- Minimum 6-12 months of warehouse or related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reports directly to a Distribution Center Supervisor and/or Process Manager; interacts with other associates.
- Position directly impacts customer satisfaction and profitability; must comply with OSHA and hazardous materials guidelines.
