This role packages products, prepares shipping labels, weighs packages, and determines the appropriate shipping method and postage to ensure timely delivery. The coordinator verifies incoming shipments by comparing bills of lading, packing slips, purchase orders, and other shipping documents against the merchandise received, inspecting for damage, verifying quantities, and ensuring accuracy.

Once materials have been approved, the coordinator distributes inventory to the appropriate departments while maintaining accurate records and supporting inventory control and warehouse operations. Serve as a key contributor to the supply chain process by efficiently managing the movement of materials from receipt through shipment. Receive, inspect, verify, and process incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and quality.

Coordinate UPS, Fed Ex, LTL, and truck shipment activities, including preparing, receiving, and tracking shipments. Determine the most efficient shipping methods based on delivery requirements, shipping procedures, carrier options, routes, and freight rates. Prepare products for shipment by assembling boxes, containers, and crates; selecting appropriate packaging materials; and ensuring products are securely protected during transit. Apply shipping labels, markings, and identification information to cartons, crates, and containers in accordance with shipping requirements.

Package materials with proper spacers, fillers, and protective padding to prevent damage and maintain product integrity. Calculate and document shipment weights, shipping charges, and postage requirements. Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition, identify damaged or missing materials, document discrepancies, and coordinate resolution with suppliers and carriers. Maintain inventory levels of shipping supplies and packaging materials to support daily operations.

Safely utilize material handling equipment, including forklifts, tier-lift trucks, and hand trucks, to move materials throughout the facility. Determine appropriate warehouse storage locations for incoming materials and optimize space utilization. Track and resolve delayed, missing, or lost shipments by communicating with carriers and internal teams. Route received materials to the appropriate departments to support production and operational needs. Maintain compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements:

Knowledge and understanding of good documentation practices and the importance of maintaining accurate and compliant records. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to actively listen, communicate effectively, and collaborate with team members across all levels of the organization.
