Facility Cleaner - Part-Time

As the Part-Time Facility Cleaner, you will be responsible for keeping the manufacturing plant and office areas clean, sanitary and in orderly condition. This position requires a highly motivated, self-directed multi crafted worker that can work autonomously. The right person for the job must be focused on teamwork and task completion.

Minimum high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 2-years of relevant experience

The successful candidate will be expected to endure prolonged periods of standing as well as frequent walking, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling in repetitive motion job tasks requiring continuous eye/hand/foot coordination. Ability to carry and position ladders and climb up to 10 feet and work iron mental conditions consist of frequent exposure to noise. Up to 50 lb. maximum lifting and carrying on a frequent basis.

Team lift is required on lifting over 50 lbs. Up to 1000 lb. maximum pushing and pulling (pallet jacks) on an occasional basis. Moving objects over 1000lbs will require the use of a forklift or motorized pallet jack. Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment (including hot, cold and/or noisy areas). Must be able to wear required personal protection equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes.

• Perform various cleaning tasks including but not limited to wiping surfaces, picking up debris, vacuuming, mopping, and dusting high and low areas
• Washing windows, inside and outside
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitizing of restrooms, including cleaning fixtures, stalls, and replenishing supplies
• Handle the proper disposal of trash, ensuring the appropriate use of trash bags and cleaning the containers thoroughly. Collect corrugated material and dispose of in compactor
• Maintain cleanliness in various areas including office spaces, public areas (hallways and reception) and break rooms
• Clean and sanitize communal refrigerators, microwaves and other food preparation and consumption areas
• Responsible to respond to biohazard clean-up (with training)
• Provide occasional support for event set-up and tear down for internal employee functions (moving and setting up tables, chairs and other event relevant equipment and supplies per the instructions of the event’s manager host)
• Notify maintenance of the following that is inoperable or requires maintenance: light bulbs, unclog toilets, shoveling snow from sidewalks etc.
• Ability to recognize and report hazards and apply safe work methods
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests with a willingness to respond to off-shift and weekend facility needs
• Must have a willingness and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, schedules, deadlines and departmental coverage
• Perform other essential duties as assigned in support of operational success
