This is a fast‑paced manufacturing operation that demands attention to detail. The preferred candidate is a detailed utility person with the ability to complete large and small‑piece parts final assembly in preparation for product shipment. Additionally, they must be focused on safety, teamwork, task completion, and customer satisfaction through producing quality parts and deliverables.
Job Requirements- Daily safety conscious work effort; notify management of any product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions, or personal injuries
- Participate in all continuous improvement programs by offering suggestions and initiatives in areas within direct control
- Comply with state and federal law safety regulations in addition to company health, safety and security procedures
- Adhere to company policies and state and federal laws and regulations relating to employment, including promoting a workplace free of discrimination and harassment
- Pass a post‑offer background check, physical, and drug screen
- Exhibit independent thinking and sound judgment, accompanied by proven problem‑solving/mechanical aptitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with team members and managers/supervisors
- Excellent time management with strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to handle multiple tasks
Education:
Minimum High School diploma or GED required with a minimum of 1‑year related manufacturing experience preferred.
The successful candidate will be expected to endure constant standing and frequent walking. The role requires constant handling, grasping, repetitive motion tasks that demand continuous eye/hand/foot coordination. Environmental conditions include frequent temperature changes. Up to 50 lb maximum lifting and carrying on an occasional basis; up to 100 lb maximum pushing and pulling also on an occasional basis. Must be able to wear personal protection equipment such as earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
The employee must be able to perform the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Overall physical exertion is classified as constant light to medium work.
- Assemble, package parts/pieces/products to specification and pack according to job traveler
- Ensure functional and aesthetic quality of product, taking measures to protect metal from scratches and other potential imperfections
- Visually inspect parts/pieces as they are being assembled
- Fit, mount, align, and adjust large to small assemblies to customer specification
- Remember and follow set work procedures and instructions
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members
- Complete responsibilities so final delivery dates are met for the customer
- Work effectively as a team member, with little supervision or help when and where needed
- Lift and move products as required and/or directed
- Use hand tools including drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers safely and with mechanical dexterity
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Adapt to changing business needs, schedule and deadlines and perform other essential duties as assigned in support of operational success
