Commercial Employees is hiring several Production Worker positions for a New Kensington manufacturer of anti-freeze, motor oil, and other common and well-known automotive products.
Two shifts are available:- 1st shift 7:00 am - 3:30 pm - $16.50 / hr
- 2nd shift 3:15 pm - 11:45 pm - $17.10 / hr
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Most positions are part of a production line and operate and monitor production machinery and equipment.
- Conduct routine quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
- Follow established procedures to meet production targets.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Production Worker Specific Task Assignments
- Empty Boxes:
Load cardboard boxes containing plastic bottles onto conveyor - Empty Bottles:
Remove empty bottles from boxes and place them onto conveyor - May include movingwasteror cardboard to designated dumpsters
- Packer:
Manually pack finished bottles into designated boxes - Palletizer:
Stack finished cases onto pallets according to specified patterns - Create 2-Pack Boxes:
Fold and tape boxes, insert cardboard dividers, stack them on pallets, and apply loose plastic wrap for stability - Drum Truck Unloading:
Unload approximately 300 drums (32 lbs each) from a semi-truck 2-3 times weekly. Drums are double stacked on pallets and relocated with a forklift.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Basic understanding of production processes and machinery
- Requires physical stamina to perform manual labor, including prolonged standing, repetitivemotionsand lifting
