The OpportunityThis company is seeking an Accounting Policy Manager to play a key role in shaping, maintaining, and governing corporate accounting policies across a complex, global organization. Reporting to the Head of Accounting Policies & Procedures, this role partners closely with technical accounting, financial reporting, legal, and business leaders to ensure U.S. GAAP and SEC compliance while continuously improving controls and processes.

Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update corporate accounting and financial reporting policies in accordance with U.S. GAAP, SEC rules, and regulatory guidance
- Partner with business units and corporate teams to ensure consistent and effective policy implementation
- Manage the quarterly accounting policy certification process
- Own the internal finance policy repository (SharePoint), ensuring clear communication and accessibility
- Oversee documentation, approval, and governance of accounting policy deviations
- Maintain delegation of authority policies governing OpEx and Cap Ex approvals
- Coordinate policy review cycles, including drafting, feedback, and final approvals
- Prepare agendas and materials for quarterly Finance Policy Committee meetings with senior finance leadership
- Serve as a key liaison between accounting, financial reporting, and business teams on policy interpretation and application
- Support technical accounting research and authorship of accounting memos for complex transactions
- Collaborate on accounting policy disclosures included in financial statements and SEC filings; support external audits as needed
- Monitor new and emerging accounting standards and lead policy updates, implementation support, and training efforts
- Contribute to special projects related to accounting and financial reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA required
- 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience
- Public accounting experience strongly preferred (Big 4 a plus)
- Strong technical expertise in U.S. GAAP and accounting policy development
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a large, matrixed organization
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, process‑improvement mindset
