Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in day‑to‑day physician office practice, including knowledge of insurance coverage and problem‑solving skills (4 years preferred).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organization skills.
  • Ability to make daily operational decisions, translate concepts into actions, and demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning skills.
  • Demonstrates customer sensitivity, initiative, good judgment, and sets high goals and performance standards.
  • Experience with Epic or other medical‑management software.
  • Willingness to drive to satellite locations on a regular basis as applicable.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Performs all tasks of the Patient Service Representative II role, including pre‑registration and full registration.
  • Works across all ambulatory areas within scope.
  • Documents new employee orientation and assists with other personnel and administrative duties assigned by the Manager, Ambulatory Support.
  • Performs all functions at point‑of‑service areas.
  • Assists the manager in recruiting staff and filling vacancies; monitors quality and productivity.
  • Trains staff on process (non‑Epic) changes and serves as a resource person and role model during clinic hours.
  • Handles escalated or complicated issues; recognizes and reports workflow variances and daily operational issues.
  • Orders supplies for areas within scope.
  • Monitors the exchange of information among point‑of‑service areas, physician offices, central registration, and other teams.
  • Identifies and addresses continuing education/training needs of staff.
  • Ensures staff reviews registration information and modifies demographic information in the Cadence system.
  • Is knowledgeable and adept at using Epic software and acts as the primary resource for problem solving in clinics on a day‑to‑day basis.
  • Identifies goals and objectives for performance improvements to provide the best patient care, optimal customer service, and physician satisfaction.
  • Provides input on performance evaluations.
  • Performs other assigned functions as needed.
Education

High School Diploma/GED (Required)

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $21.00–$32.55 per hour. The range represents minimum and maximum targets for the position and is regularly reviewed to stay aligned with market conditions.
