Position: School Social Worker [81182]

Responsibilities
  • Provide school-based social work services to students in alignment with their IEPs and social-emotional goals.
  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans addressing students’ emotional, behavioral, and social needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create supportive learning environments.
  • Deliver individual and group counseling sessions promoting coping strategies, resilience, and positive peer interactions.
  • Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community resources to ensure comprehensive student support.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff consultations, and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement.
  • Experience providing social work services in a school or youth-centered setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development, behavioral interventions, and trauma-informed practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to fostering students’ emotional well-being, confidence, and success.
