Responsibilities
Under supervision of the Assistant Principal, our day-to-day substitute teachers will:
- Serve as a role model and witness to our faith community
- Embrace the Augustinian values of Truth, Unity and Love
- Possess strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Implement the absent teacher's written plans with fidelity
- Document student progress, activities, and outcomes as directed by the teacher
- Leave detailed notes for the absent teache
- Utilize available technology to enhance lesson
- Create a flexible, safe, and optimal learning environment
- State of Illinois Teaching License OR Substitute Teacher Certificate Required
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- VIRTUS Certification (Protecting God’s Children) Certificate Required
- (Can obtain prior to hire)
- Background Check Required
- High school classroom teaching experience Preferred
$110/day
