Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Serves as a role model and witness to our faith community. Embraces the Augustinian Values of Truth, Unity, and Love. Experience and ability teaching general science curriculum. Implementation of National Science Standards (NGSS) through an inquiry, lab-based approach. Integrates technology in the classroom teaching in a 1 to 1 school. Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills. Exhibits strong classroom management and collaboration skills.
Experience revising curriculum and aligning to Professional Learning Standards. Experience with curriculum assessment utilizing a variety of effective strategies.
State of Illinois Teaching License (Required) High School Science Teaching Endorsement (Required) High School Classroom Teaching Experience (Preferred)
Certifications and Requirements (May be completed after hire):DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate Illinois Sexual Harassment Training Certificate Diocese of Joliet Protecting God's Children Diocese of Joliet Fingerprinting & Background Check Work Physical/Statement of Health from Physician

Starting Salary Range: $42,760-$47,763 (Step
1);

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, feel with hands, reach with arms, walk up or down multiple flights of stairs, and be physically able to perform duties as assigned, including the ability to lift up to 20-30 pounds if needed. Works in standard office and school building environments but also has ability to work outdoors during outdoor student activities.
