Assistant Director of Enrollment
Providence Catholic High School (PCHS), a Joliet Diocesan, Catholic, coeducational, secondary school administered by the Augustinians is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Assistant Director of Enrollment for a full-time, permanent position beginning August 2026. Building on over 100 years of tradition and academic excellence, PCHS, located in New Lenox, Illinois provides 700+ young men and women from southwest Chicagoland area with an excellent educational experience on a 75-acre campus.
The Assistant Director of Enrollment is a creative and highly organized team player who helps to implement an established enrollment management plan for PCHS including recruitment, admissions, and retention programs. Responsibilities include the oversight of student and parent ambassador programs to help market the school and to create a culture of enrollment. The Assistant Director works collaboratively to achieve the school's annual and long-term enrollment goals, actively attracting prospective students to key admissions milestones (including Open Houses, Shadow Days, and the Freshman Placement Exam) and supporting strategies to enroll and retain a vibrant student body.
Salary: $40,000 - $44,000 (Salary is commensurate with experience)
Primary ResponsibilitiesFaith Community & Mission Alignment
- Ensure all marketing initiatives, recruitment/enrollment programs, and fundraising activities reflect and support the Catholic mission and values of the school.
Recruitment, Outreach & Event Management
- Lead and coordinate the school mascot, "Charlie," for high-impact appearances at both on-campus and off-campus events to boost school spirit and brand visibility.
- Assist the Director of Student Enrollment with the execution of core admissions events, including Shadow Days, Parent Information Nights, Step Up Days, Open Houses, the Placement Exam, the Incoming Freshman Party and the Freshman Family Picnic.
- Support a variety of on-campus junior high events (e.g., athletic tournaments, Junior High Nights, youth clinics, Academic Bowl).
- Conduct annual recruitment visits to local private, parochial, and public grade schools; establish connections to distribute marketing materials and explore presentation opportunities (including digital virtual backpacks).
- Coordinate religious education outreach by meeting directly with parish RE programs to promote the school.
- Address participants at summer athletic and academic/activity camps to introduce them to the school's long-term community benefits.
- Represent the school at grade school assemblies and graduations to present awards to incoming freshman scholarship winners.
- Maintain regional relationships through seasonal touchpoints, including delivering partner school gifts (e.g., Christmas, Catholic Schools Week).
Proficiency in the PCHS Curriculum and Academic Offerings
Relationship Management & Communication Systems
- Recruit, train, mentor and organize the Student Ambassadors program.
- Gather, curate, and utilize powerful student and alumni ambassador testimonials for marketing purposes.
- Develop and execute a systematic timeline for personalized follow-up communication with prospective families via letters, personal notes, phone calls, texts, emails and event invitations.
- Write personalized, hand-written notes to all Shadow Day visitors and execute targeted phone campaigns to prospects ahead of major benchmarks like the Placement Exam and Registration.
- Conduct engaging, personalized campus tours for prospective families.
Strategy, Data, & Marketing Support
- Assist the Director in developing and executing the comprehensive Enrollment Management Plan, including building out the annual enrollment calendar and event timelines.
- Research enrollment trends and compile data to help develop accurate future enrollment projections.
- Accurately collect, enter, and maintain prospective student data within the admissions database.
- Collaborate on the design, production, and distribution of all student recruitment marketing materials (brochures, booklets, posters, digital ads, and press releases) and promptly mail informational packets to inquiring families.
- Partner with the Director of Enrollment, Assistant Principal, and Registrar to facilitate the academic placement process for incoming students.
General Advancement Support
- Foster a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment within the Advancement Office.
- Assist the Director of Communications and Social Media Coordinator with story ideas, press release drafts, and engaging digital content to promote the school.
- Provide cross-functional support to other Advancement team initiatives as time permits (e.g., large-scale mailings, Career Day, phonathons, and major fundraisers).
- Perform other relevant duties and tasks as assigned by the Director of Institutional Advancement.
