Consulting Director – CFO Advisory | Chicago Area

An established and growing advisory firm is seeking a senior-level finance professional to join its CFO Advisory practice in the Greater Chicago market. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with middle-market organizations, partnering directly with ownership and executive leadership to improve financial performance, scalability, and long-term strategy.

• Deliver hands-on financial leadership and advisory services to middle-market companies
• Act in interim or fractional CFO and Controller capacities for multiple clients
• Lead profitability analysis, operational reviews, and organizational assessments
• Oversee accounting teams and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, forecasts, and executive-level reporting
• Facilitate strategic planning initiatives and guide management teams through execution
• Support practice growth through client development and advisory expansion efforts

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred).
• 4–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience preferred.
• CPA certification preferred, but not required.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
